Autosled Launches SecurePass™ Digital Gate Pass System for Vehicle Shipment Security

ROCKVILLE, MD – September 3, 2025– Autosled, ranked No. 12 and No. 513 on the 2024 and 2025 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies and No. 9 on the 2024 Deloitte Fast 500, and a leading provider of digital technology solutions for automotive vehicle transport logistics, announced today launch of SecurePass digital gate pass system for vehicle shipments. The patent-pending solution was created to combat increasing industry fraud attempts while simultaneously ensuring smoother vehicle pickups and deliveries.

“SecurePass’s market-leading technology provides retail automotive dealers and dealership employees with unparalleled peace of mind during their vehicle shipments,” noted David Sperau, Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer for Autosled. “Experiencing the level of fraud prevention and security that SecurePass provides is truly a game-changer for Autosled’s current, and future, customers.”

Built to safeguard vehicle shipments, SecurePass supports real-time authentication, enables audit tracking, and improves the overall accountability and integrity of the entire process. Both the shipment and driver details are verified, without which the vehicle cannot be released for pickup. SecurePass generates a unique, watermark-protected document featuring an embedded QR code that’s unique to each shipment. Only by using the QR code can access be gained to Autosled’s real-time, secure validation portal. SecurePass not only reduces the risk of unauthorized vehicle access, but accelerates the verification process as well.

“With SecurePass, we’ve built technology that fundamentally raises the bar for shipment security,” said Frank Soehnge, Vice President of Technology at Autosled. “Every QR code, every verification step, every passcode is designed to close the gaps that bad actors exploit. SecurePass not only protects vehicles but also creates a more reliable and trustworthy process for everyone in the automotive transport ecosystem.”

Sam Goldenburg Discusses Vehicle Transport Security at AIS & NRC 2025

How Autosled is Innovating to Protect Vehicles During Transport.

Sam Goldenberg

ROCKVILLE, MD, April 15, 2025The 2025 AIS & NRC conference united leaders in technology and finance to explore the evolving future of the automotive industry. The event focused on key trends, innovations, and disruptions shaping the customer purchase journey. This year’s summit included a special Q&A with Autosled’s own Sam Goldenburg, Vice President of Dealer Sales and 2023 Top 40 under 40 Industry Award Honoree, unpacking the industry-wide concerns surrounding vehicle fraud during the transport process. Alongside Joe Overby, AutoRemarketing’s Senior Editor, Sam discussed practical steps that dealership attendees can take at their stores to help minimize the risk of vehicle theft during transport. He also shared the significant financial and reputational impacts this issue has on dealers, remarketers, and the automotive industry as a whole.

The live Q&Q delved into the root causes of this problem, highlighting the sophistication of organized theft rings and vulnerabilities in traditional transportation methods. Autosled’s innovative fraud prevention measures have addressed this challenge head-on, leveraging advanced technologies and data-driven strategies to enhance security throughout the vehicle transport process.

As Sam explained during the Q&A, “Vehicle theft during transportation has been a major concern that affected the entire automotive ecosystem. Dealers and remarketers were losing millions of dollars each year, with devastating consequences for customer relationships. At Autosled, we had made it our mission to develop cutting-edge solutions that protect our clients’ vehicles during transportation. From real-time tracking and tamper-evident technology to comprehensive risk assessments and secure logistics planning, we are empowering our partners to stay one step ahead of the thieves.”

The discussion also touched on the importance of industry-wide collaboration and the need for dealers and transportation providers to work together to implement best practices and share intelligence around this issue. Leveraging technology and fostering a culture of proactive risk management, the automotive industry could effectively combat the growing threat of vehicle theft during transportation. Collaboration in this area protects the entire industry and provides critical avenues to comprehensive and secure vehicle transport.
Autosled’s focus on this topic isn’t limited to AIS. In fact, Autosled’s Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, Dave Sperau, will speak on this very topic, alongside other automotive industry executives, during NAAA’s Spring Remarketing Exchange on April 22-24 in Phoenix, AZ.
